Built between 1704 and 1733 during the reign of Duke Eberhard Ludwig, the Residential Palace is one of the greatest German baroque palaces still around today. It has 452 rooms spread over 28 buildings. It is called the "Swabian Versailles" and used to be the residence of the past kings of Württemberg.
